Loaves and Fishes of Contra Costa is proud to recognize Carolyn Phinney, President of AgLantis and founder of CoCo San Sustainable Farm, as the recipient of our inaugural LFCC Impact Award. This honor celebrates individuals whose work creates lasting, meaningful change in the fight against hunger.

Carolyn’s unwavering dedication to food justice, sustainability, and community partnership has left an extraordinary mark on Contra Costa County and beyond. Her legacy includes:

  • Donating more than 120,000 pounds of fresh, sustainably grown produce to nourish our neighbors in need.
  • Partnering with LFCC to help expand our reach and deepen our impact across the county.
  • Pioneering innovative sustainable agriculture, using treated wastewater to grow nutritious food while conserving vital natural resources.
  • Advocating for food equity, working to ensure everyone has access to healthy, dignified meals regardless of circumstance.

Carolyn’s visionary leadership and compassion embody the spirit of our mission. Her work continues to inspire all of us at Loaves and Fishes and the many lives touched by her efforts
